Issue 5: Resilience and Dreams

 

Is art a refuge from reality or a way of tackling it? To quote one of our contributors, if art is not the place to save the world, it can be the place where we wonder why we want to save it. Resilience and dreams are two notions that are more relevant today than ever, which is why we are looking at them from different angles in our new issue. Tide magazine is an annual publication dedicated to modern images. Its aesthetic is deeply influenced by the raw beauty of the ordinary.  With references such as Nigel Shafran, Thomas Ruff, Lise Sarfati or Erwin Wurm in mind, our work is driven by ideas. We aim to promote a certain kind of photography, one that is intimate, and conveys a universal meaning.
